Swooping swallows

Download transcript
Paul Stancliffe, of the British Trust for Ornithology, talks about his love of swallows. Did you know they only weigh as much as a pound coin? If you get the chance to see one close up you may be surprised at how colourful they are: electric blue feathering, rich red throat and a white belly!

Swallows recorded by Juan Malo de Molina, SC36209, accessible at www.xeno-canto.org/36209
Four swallows sitting on a set of power lines.
